Shalini Shanker

Director of Operations, New Mexico

As the Director of Operations for the Wellness Equity Alliance in New Mexico, Shalini leads multiple primary care and behavioral health initiatives from early identification and prevention in children to supporting incarcerated populations in their re-entry. Shalini Shanker holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.A. in Secondary Mathematics Education. Shalini Shanker is also the C.E.O of Medicine Box, a global integrative health platform utilizing blockchain technology. Previously, Shalini served as the first female Sr. Project Engineer at Nissan Tech. Ctr. to lead large teams between Detroit and Tokyo facilitating product development from prototype to production. Shalini has been a New Mexican resident for nearly 25 years. Serving as the Director of Institutional Advancement and as Bill and Melinda Gates Education Fellow, Shalini was pivotal in the growth of Amy Biehl High School, one of the first Albuquerque Charter Schools. Shalini excels in private/public partnerships and serves on numerous non-profit boards. Through her involvement in Wellness Equity Alliance, Shalini is excited to enhance healthcare access to all New Mexicans.
